SEO Specialist
QWERTY LLC is looking for an experienced SEO specialist to help grow organic visibility, traffic, and conversions in the US market. You will own the SEO strategy end-to-end, working closely with marketing, content, and development teams to turn insights into shipped improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own the full SEO roadmap: audits → hypotheses → prioritization (impact/effort) → implementation → measurement
- Conduct keyword research and search intent analysis; build topical clusters and content plans
- Prepare SEO briefs, optimize existing content, and improve internal linking structure
- Implement on-page SEO improvements (title/meta tags, headings, content structure, schema)
- Lead technical SEO with the dev team: crawling/indexing, sitemap/robots.txt, canonicals, redirects, Core Web Vitals
- Monitor GA4 and Google Search Console, identify growth opportunities, diagnose traffic drops
- Analyze competitors and SERPs, conduct content gap audits, recommend new pages or templates
- Support off-page SEO initiatives (link building, partnerships, digital PR) as needed
- Prepare clear monthly reports with insights, actions, and results
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (freelance or agency)
- Deep knowledge of Google Search Console and GA4; ability to turn data into concrete actions
- Experience conducting SEO audits and driving implementations alongside stakeholders
- Proficiency with crawlers and SEO platforms (Screaming Frog/Sitebulb, Ahrefs/SEMrush, etc.)
- Solid understanding of technical SEO: indexing, canonicals, redirects, structured data basics
- Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for keyword research, content ideation, briefs, and metadata
- Experience with AI-assisted SEO platforms (Surfer, Clearscope, MarketMuse, or similar)
- Ability to leverage automation responsibly in SEO workflows while maintaining quality
What success looks like
- A clear SEO baseline and reporting system built within the first month
- A prioritized SEO roadmap that's actively being executed — not just living in a document
- Measurable growth in non-branded organic traffic and/or conversions within 3–6 months
- Fewer technical SEO blockers and faster implementation of impactful improvements
Nice to have
- International SEO experience (hreflang, multi-region strategies)
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge and understanding of how JS/CMS choices impact SEO
- Experience with content operations (editing, workflow, briefs) and scaling content refreshes
